We’ve all heard of fad diets that are guaranteed to get you results & fast....Atkins, Keto, blood group diets & intermittent fasting. There are also groups such as Weight Watchers, Slimming World & Noom. I’m sure all of these have worked for many although I’m always surprised as to how many people are doing the ‘enter fad diet/group name here’ again. If it worked why are you having to do it again? Probably because it was either unsustainable, unenjoyable or once the results start showing then old habits creep back in.
Ultimately all these diets & groups work & they work because if you’re in a calorie deficit then you will lose weight. It doesn’t matter if you only eat before 7pm, always do your cardio fasted or if you cut carbohydrates out completely. These results won’t come to you any quicker but they will limit your freedom. The person who eats 1800 calories per day & burns 2100 calories will still lose weight. You don’t need a new revolutionary diet concept or a group that tells you what foods are ‘syns’. Food shouldn’t be labelled good & bad, there are foods you should eat regularly & foods you can indulge in occasionally. A basic understanding of your body’s energy needs & your personal activity levels will be enough to determine how much you should eat in order to reach your goals & this is where I can help you. It’s not a diet, it’s a balance & it’s easier than you think!
